I'm curious about the welcome party on Friday night!

Anyone is welcome to join us for a welcome party at Innovation Brewing on May 29, located at 40 Depot Street in Dillsboro! This drop-in event is optional —just an opportunity to spend more time with each other and say hello! The wedding party, including the bride and groom, are aiming to arrive at 8:00pm (or immediately following the rehearsal dinner).

I'm curious about the optional shuttle!

The wedding venue is only a 10 minute drive from central Dillsboro and Sylva. However, a complementary shuttle service will be provided for the convenience and comfort of our guests—picking up and dropping off at the Best Western River Escape Inn & Suites (in Dillsboro). Pick-up is at 3:30pm. To return to the hotel, the shuttles will pick up guests at 9:00pm and again at 10:00p from the wedding reception. Anyone can use the shuttles! Guests do not need to book a stay at the Best Western to do so, nor is there any formal sign-up. Just hop on board! Lastly, you will find them pretty easily. High Country Travel utilizes school buses (yes, yellow school buses) because they are more narrow than charter buses or other shuttle transport, which are too wide for many mountain roads in Western NC! Safety is our priority, hence the ride in "style" :)

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

If not utilizing the optional shuttle service provided, please plan to arrive to the venue around 4:00pm. Guests are to be seated by 4:15pm.

Is there parking available?

Yes, there is a designated parking lot at The Vineyards at Betty's Creek, which is the location of the ceremony and the reception to follow.

What if I leave my car overnight, following the reception?

That is allowed and encouraged if it means you are transported safely that night—either by the shuttle or another guest! Guests are welcome to pick-up their cars the following morning, preferably by 11am.

Are children invited?

As much as we love your little ones, we've chosen to keep our wedding largely as an adults-only celebration. Select children are invited as members of immediate family, who may be in the wedding ceremony. We hope this gives everyone a chance to unwind, celebrate, and enjoy a weekend away! Please note however, that infants under 12 months (or otherwise "babies-in-arms") are welcome, as well as children over 14 years old. Please refer to your RSVP for applicable wedding party details.

Is the wedding outdoors or indoors?

The ceremony and cocktail hour will ideally be outdoors, weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place under the pavilion, which is open-air but covered. The pavilion is the location of the reception, and event staff will be on site to direct you accordingly.

What should I wear?

The attire is semi-formal—polished, but not black-tie. Navy or light blue suits, a pair of khakis with a lighter suit jacket, three piece suits, blazers, and chinos are all appropriate for men at semi-formal events. A tie is optional. For ladies, this can range from cocktail dresses, midi dresses, to maxi dresses. Spring pastels and colorful florals are encouraged but not necessary!

Can I bring a guest?

Due to space constraints, we have limited capacity for guests. Please refer to your wedding invitation and online RSVP—it will indicate who's included in your party.
