Sylva is a picturesque small town nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. One hour from Asheville and 30 minutes from Waynesville, Sylva (and the adjacent town of Dillsboro) are easy to reach yet pleasantly tucked away. The quaint downtown stretches are known for their cozy restaurants, local shops, and the historic courthouse overlooking Main Street.
Whether you’re just staying for the weekend or enjoying a lengthier mountain getaway, we invite you to slow down, take in the fresh air, and experience the magic that makes this corner of North Carolina one of our favorite places!
Lodging
While guests are welcome to book one of the ample Airbnb or Vrbo rentals available in the area, we will also have a hotel room block reserved for guests at the Best Western Plus River Escape Inn & Suites.
Guests are also welcome to stay at the other accommodations listed, although hotel blocks at these locations are not available at this time.
Best Western Plus River Escape Inn & Suites
The Best Western Plus River Escape Inn & Suites is located along the Tuckasegee River in Dillsboro. Guests frequently praise the scenic river views, comfortable rooms, and the included American breakfast.
Hotel Room Block: This is currently the only room block available! Please click here to book via the room block.
Optional Shuttle: This is currently the sole shuttle pick-up and drop-off point. Please see "Transportation" below for more details.
Hotel Sylva
Hotel Sylva is a highly-rated, boutique hotel located in downtown Sylva. This newly renovated hotel has 35 unique rooms that were purposely designed to retain their mid-mod century charm. Hotel Sylva is noted for its central location on Main Street and modern amenities.
The Jarrett House
Constructed around 1884, The Jarrett House predates the incorporation of the town in which it sits. After years of meticulous restorations and renovations, this historic 23-room inn and restaurant just re-opened for booking in January 2026.

Transportation
The wedding venue, The Vineyards at Betty's Creek, is only a 10 minute drive from central Dillsboro and Sylva. However, an optional shuttle service will be provided for the convenience and comfort of our guests—picking up and dropping off at the hotel block site.
Optional Shuttle: High Country Travel
A complementary shuttle to and from the venue will be provided for any wedding guests that wish to utilize it.
Pick-up: 3:30pm from the Best Western Plus River Escape Inn & Suites.
Return: The shuttle will pick up guests at 9:00pm and again at 10:00p from the wedding reception to return to the hotel.
Guests do not need to book a stay at the Best Western Plus River Escape Inn & Suites to utilize the shuttle.
